New Filler Designs!

Good news – there are some new designs up as you all have been asking for! I decided to put up some new filler designs which should help in creating your own designs as well! They can be found on the Indian Mehndi Designs Page. I am currently working on creating some bigger designs without the details so that they can be filled according to the artist’s taste.

I have also received questions on how to submit your own designs for the website. If you have a design you would like to submit, please email me at admin[at]hennadesigns.org with your design and your name/ username to which we can credit your design. Your design will then be put up on the Indian Mehndi Designs page or the Arabic Designs page – depending on the kind of design submitted. For now, enjoy the new filler designs!

Hi everyone and thanks for all your comments! Unfortunately school is keeping me more busy than I want to be which means I haven't yet had time to put up the new designs! I am hoping that I will have some time over winter break and have some new designs on the site. In the meantime, I'd like you all to submit any designs you have come up with – we will put it up here with your name. Thanks and happy henna-ing!

Hello there! I have good news for all you henna lovers! Its been busy but I will try to fit a little bit of henna design uploading time soon. Expect a new design or two in the next two weeks! If you have been creative in your free time and have come up with something new, share it! I will post it up and you will get credit for your work. If you tried out one these designs and it worked out well, then send a snapshot and I'll post it up too! In the meantime, keep that creativity going and happy henna-ing!

Creating your own henna designs

Like any art, henna is a means of expression for the artist. Creating your own designs, improvising, and incorporating the customer’s tastes into your own designs are things a henna artist is expected to be able to do. Although these may sound restricting at first, remember that henna is ultimately about you being creative and everything else stems from there. This section will cover some aspects of henna design in general which should help in planning out a design and let you get more creative as you practise more henna.
